New York Student Teacher, Amy Miller, Charged With Having Sex With 15-Year-Old Girl

A 23-year-old student teacher is facing charges she had sex with a 15-year-old girl.
Amy Miller (pictured left) of Vestal, New York was being held Tuesday in the Tioga County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
Miller was a graduate student in special education at Binghamton University’s teacher education program and had taught at Union-Endicott High School and Owego Free Academy.
Police say the victim was 1 of Miller’s students but they did not say which school she attended.
Miller is charged with third-degree committing a criminal sexual act and child endangerment, not Domestic Violence.
A spokeswoman says Miller has been suspended by Binghamton University and removed from all coursework and related teaching assignments.
State police don’t know if she has a lawyer.
