Cezanne Visser, (pictured below) also known as Advocate Barbie, has been found guilty on 11 of the 14 sex-related charges against her, which ranged from indecent assault to manufacturing child pornography, but no domestic violence, too bad.
The case has been postponed to the 8th of December and her bail was increased to R5000.
Handing down judgment in the North Gauteng High Court, Judge Chris Eksteen descibed Visser’s testimony as contradictory.
The judge said that Visser’s whole argument was based on the fact that former lover Dirk Prinsloo had power over her, but some other testimony contradicted this.
One witness said the two fought often and once Visser drove off in her car. Ekteen said this shows that she had freedom.
She went to the shops, sent messages to her mother and this contradicted her testimony that she was under Prinsloo’s power.
The judge also said that Visser testified that she never thought that Prinsloo was sexually abusing the girls, even though she saw him ejaculate on one of them and she cleaned it up.
Eksteen also questioned why Visser never took the initiative to report Prinsloo’s crimes. He said that she was fully aware of his sexual exploits and she herself went to fetch the girls from the orphanages.
It was therefore improbable after all Prinsloo’s sexual exploits, she didn’t know that the girls she brought home were for sex, and not domestic violence.
